Our souls are like magnets, irresistibly drawn to those who share a similar frequency

We created this community as we are living in a time where it can be challenging to find and meet others, make new friends, and to have soulful connections with those of like mind.

What we're about

As the name suggests, our aim is to foster deeper connections not just on a social level, but also on a spiritual one allowing for vulnerability and authentic sharing with those who recognise that they are on a path of spiritual growth.

You’ll be able to share your stories about life’s divine experiences with like-minded people in the safety of a community group that meets once a month in a social setting. Together, we will provide a supportive environment where you will receive encouragement and create an understanding of life’s challenges and joys as you continue your adventure on your pathway to self-discovery alongside the teachings it has to offer.

Each month, we offer Light-hearted Speed Connections throughout the evening and, more importantly, the time to be able to mix with others. This will allow people to develop friendships with those who may have the same values and ethics, as well as share activities/hobbies that you may have in common.

Our vision for the growth of Connecting Souls is for it to be organic in its growth, allowing for suggestions and ideas to be given that will resonate with those in the community including additional workshops, outings etc.

We look forward to meeting and discovering more about you in person and being able to share in the growth of building the Connecting Souls community.

Light-hearted speed connections

Light-hearted Speed Connections can be a whirlwind of excitement a unique, efficient and fun way to meet and connect with like-minded people and make new soul friends.

Throughout the evening, you may choose to take part in the activity of our activities. These are created to give you the opportunity to meet many of those present during the evening. It is our version of speed friend dating with a spiritual twist.

If anybody is feeling shy or awkward and not knowing how to start a conversation, we have created our own light-hearted deck of questions that you can choose from selectively or randomly to help you get started.

Each interaction will last 5 minutes before moving onto the next person, giving you the opportunity to introduce yourself. For those that you felt a connection with and would like to learn more about, you can continue to chat throughout the evening in a social setting.

Do's and don'ts at the meeting

Light-hearted speed connections are strictly for making friends. Uncomfortable romantic conversations during any of our meetings will result in a warning being issued. If you commit a second offence then you will be asked to leave the community.

Because you only have five minutes with your first connection, first impressions are vital so you should make yours count! Knowing what to do (and what to avoid) can make all the difference.

Here are some do’s and don’ts that can help improve your chances of success with connecting and making new soul friends!

Do:

Keep an open mind toward the process of making new potential friends

Remember that some people may be shy to start with.

Use some of the light-hearted conversation starters

These can keep your conversations flowing and also support those that may need help with starting conversations.

Strike a balance between speaking and listening

Remember that conversations involve more than one person.

Relax

Be authentic, and be yourself.

Don't:

Be negative

Try to avoid being negative about the process or being critical of other participants.

Treat the event like an interview

Keep an open mind with a view to making new connections.

Monopolise the conversation

Try to keep conversation going both ways and include the person you're connecting with.

Give up on the process

You may not connect with anyone the first time, but keep trying.

Judge people by their looks

Avoid judging other people by the way they look. Instead, get to know their character and personality.

Also, don’t forget about the power of body language. Non-verbal communication can play a big role in conveying interest in a person. Eye-to-eye contact, smiling and nodding etc. can show that you are interested in what they are saying.

Just relax and be yourself as you connect with each person, and do not worry or be concerned if you do not feel drawn to some people. This is why you are taking part in the first place. Throughout the time you are here, at the very least, you will get to meet some interesting people and have a fun time.
